It’s been a while since I crocheted an amigurumi, especially one of my puppy amigurumis, so what better way to celebrate than by revisiting my favorite hobby with a pug amigurumi!

This pug amigurumi was based off my baby Chihuahua amigurumi, with a few tweaks here and there. If you look closely, you’ll notice this pug amigurumi’s paws get a little bigger at the ends to give it more of a cartoony feel. My original pattern was just a straight tube.

I also changed the back legs to be small nubbins, just because I thought it would look cuter that way! My previous pattern had short tubes that you would sew near the back end of the puppy amigurumi. I did a similar look for my Polar Lucibear amigurumi, which was published in a small pamphlet called “Crocheted Amigurumi.” Some people have questioned whether the back legs are wrong, but they indeed are correct as written in the pattern. The back legs are supposed to resemble nubbins for that cuter look, so please go ahead and sew them in place like that! To make this amigurumi a pug amigurumi, I cut out small circles from brown felt for the eyes, and a larger circle for the snout. Such a simple and easy thing to do to change up the look! I’m all about simple and easy things.
So, has anyone gotten into the trend of terrariums lately? Terrariums are super neat! Just the thought of creating your own ecosystem in an enclosed space is pretty awesome. But what if you just suck at taking care of plants? Don’t worry! There’s hope for us yet! Since all we can do is crochet, let’s just make some amigurumi terrariums instead!

Actually this idea came from someone who was paranoid about getting their pug amigurumi dusty…a thought that never crossed my mind before. I guess some people are just super anal and paranoid!
But it did make for a really cute idea!

The brown paper trimmings were bought from Daiso. The little hearts came with the trimmings too, so convenient! I also had a random sticker with a dog bowl and bone in it, perfect for decorating, so I had to stick it on the jar. And we picked up a cute pug phone charm on our trip to Taiwan recently too!

Just in case you wanted to see that adorable pug phone charm more close up!

Oh, it broke loose of its jar! How cute.

Now it’s just getting restless!

One last shot! Thanks for looking!

It doesn’t look like much, but this tiger amigurumi used up quite a bit of felt. In case you were wondering, there is a total of 22 black felt stripes on this thing…! Never bothered to count it up until now, and now that I have, it’s quite a shocking number haha. o_O

Of course, if there’s a female tiger, there’s got to be a male one too! Ah~so handsome. He’s even waving at you flirtatiously. That little casanova…

Wonder what kind of chick he’ll pick up today~?

Ah, looks like he’s found the cutest Valentine’s Day tiger amigurumi he’s ever laid his eyes on. O_O!! How will he get her attention? Any guesses?

Yep, you called it. Failed attempt at throwing the heart plushie at her. Too bad~

valentines-day-tiger-amigurumi-29
Oh, but what’s this? Seems like she heard something fumbling around behind her!

“I think you dropped this” she says “here you go!” <3

And what do you know, they’re together now! Yay! Happy ending. The end.

The heart plushies were made out of felt by the way. If you were even bothering to wonder haha. I made a crapload of them just for these tiger amigurumi. Did they serve their purpose well?

Today we’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with our nice, shiny, and bright Valentine’s Day Rabbit Amigurumi!

We went to town with this one–white and pink rhinestones and all. The one thing that inspired us to make this Valentine’s Day rabbit amigurumi was the pink leopard print felt. We were at the craft store one day and noticed a couple of new felt sheets next to the usual solid colored ones. Our crocheter just couldn’t resist the temptation of playing around with one of them, so we ended up picking this leopard print one.
